Your Journey at a Glance
Day 1 – Arrive in Bhubaneswar
Receive warm assistance at Bhubaneswar Airport and transfer to your hotel. After check-in and refreshment, embark on an evening temple tour exploring the architectural marvels of ancient Odisha. Visit the Parasurameswar Temple (7th Century AD), one of the oldest temples in Bhubaneswar. Explore the intricately carved Mukteswar Temple (10th Century AD), known for its beautiful arches and sculptures. Visit the graceful Rajarani Temple (11th Century AD) with its distinctive architectural style. Later, pay your respects at the magnificent Lingaraj Temple (11th Century AD), one of the most important temples in Odisha. Return to the hotel for overnight stay.
Day 2 – Bhubaneswar Exploration
After breakfast, proceed to the famous Nandan Kanan Zoo, home to the rare white tigers. Enjoy the thrilling white tiger safari and explore the scenic botanical gardens with exotic flora. After lunch at a local restaurant, visit the ancient Khandagiri and Udaygiri Jain Caves, dating back to the 2nd Century BC. These caves showcase remarkable rock-cut architecture and Buddhist-Jain heritage. Explore the caves with intricate carvings and sculptures. Return to the hotel for an evening at leisure and overnight stay.
Day 3 – Bhubaneswar to Konark to Puri
After breakfast, drive towards Konark (60 km away). Visit the iconic Konark Sun Temple, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and masterpiece of 13th-century Odisha architecture. Marvel at the intricately carved wheels, horses, and sculptural details depicting celestial bodies and mythological scenes. The temple is designed in the shape of the Sun God's chariot. Later, continue to Puri (35 km from Konark). Check in at your hotel and explore Puri's famous beach in the evening. Stay overnight in Puri.
Day 4 – Puri and Chilka Lake Excursion
After breakfast, visit the famous Jagannath Temple in Puri, one of the Four Sacred Dhams of Hinduism. Explore the temple architecture and spiritual significance. Later, drive to Chilka Lake, India's largest brackish water lake and an important bird sanctuary. Take a boat safari to observe migratory birds, especially during winter months. The serene beauty of the lake with its islands and local villages offers a peaceful retreat. Return to Puri and spend the evening at the beach. Stay overnight in Puri.
Day 5 – Puri to Bhubaneswar
After breakfast, visit Puri Beach and explore the local markets for handicrafts and souvenirs. Experience the local culture and beach life. Later, drive back to Bhubaneswar (60 km journey). On arrival, check in at your hotel. Spend the evening exploring the local markets or visiting any remaining temples you wish to revisit. Stay overnight in Bhubaneswar.
Day 6 – Departure from Bhubaneswar
After breakfast at the hotel, proceed to Bhubaneswar Airport for your onward flight or train. Depart with wonderful memories of your Odisha adventure and the cultural treasures of the Golden Triangle.
