Your Journey at a Glance
Day 1 – Delhi to Leh Arrival
Upon reaching Kushok Bakula Airport in Leh (at an altitude of 3,500 meters), meet our tour representative who will assist with your transfer to the hotel. Complete check-in formalities and enjoy a welcome drink. Spend the day resting and acclimatizing to the high altitude, which is essential. In the evening, enjoy a leisure walk through the colorful Leh bazaar to get familiar with the city.
Day 2 – Leh to Indus Valley Tour
After breakfast, embark on a scenic road journey through the Indus Valley. Drive past the famous Magnetic Hill (Gravity Hill), which creates an optical illusion. Take a halt at the beautiful Nimu Valley with its barren yet charming landscape. Visit the historic Pathar Sahib Gurudwara on the Leh-Nimu road, built to commemorate Guru Nanak's visit to the area. Weather permitting, enjoy optional rafting on the Indus River. Return to Leh in the evening.
Day 3 – Leh to Nubra Valley
Drive to the scenic Nubra Valley, famous for its double-humped Bactrian camels and stunning landscape. The journey takes you through the Khardung La Pass (5,359 meters), one of the highest motorable passes in the world. Explore the valley, visit local villages, and experience the unique culture of Nubra. Enjoy camel safari in the desert-like terrain of Hunder.
Day 4 – Nubra Valley to Pangong Tso
Drive through breathtaking landscapes to the pristine Pangong Tso Lake, a high-altitude salt-water lake at 4,225 meters. The lake's color changes throughout the day from blue to green to brown, creating spectacular photo opportunities. Explore the scenic surroundings and spend time by the mesmerizing lake.
Day 5 – Pangong Tso to Leh
Spend the morning enjoying the tranquil beauty of Pangong Tso. Drive back to Leh, passing through picturesque landscapes and remote villages. Stop at Changla (Changthang Plateau) to see herds of wild yaks and Tibetan antelope.
Day 6 – Leh to Lamayuru & Alchi Monasteries
Drive to Lamayuru to visit the ancient Lamayuru Monastery, perched on a hilltop offering stunning views of the valley. Continue to Alchi (also spelled Uleytokpo), home to the beautiful Alchi Choskor Monastery with its intricate Buddhist artwork. Explore the traditional Buddhist architecture and learn about the region's spiritual heritage.
Day 7 – Alchi to Leh
Return journey to Leh, stopping at scenic viewpoints and exploring any remaining attractions. Spend the evening visiting local markets or exploring Leh's monasteries and temples at your leisure.
Day 8 – Leh to Delhi Departure
After breakfast at the hotel, proceed to Kushok Bakula Airport for your onward flight to Delhi. Depart with wonderful memories of your Ladakh adventure.
